New in the Library! KEGG: Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes

The Library has subscribed to KEGG: Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes.

KEGG is a database resource for understanding high-level functions and utilities of the biological system, such as the cell, the organism and the ecosystem, from molecular-level information, especially large-scale molecular datasets generated by genome sequencing and other high-throughput experimental technologies.

Important information: 
Database URL: ftp://ftp.kegg.net/
Access via Internet Explorer ONLY! (Not Chrome at this point)
Username and password are needed and can be received after signing in at the upper right corner on this page.

Our subscription includes:

  • access to the KEGG FTP site and downloading of  KEGG FTP Data
  • use of KEGG for your personal research
  • publication of the results of your research including KEGG FTP Data
  • provision of a web-based Service or Product, conditional upon these terms (see below)

It does not include:

  • the right to distribute or share KEGG FTP Data except as described here
  • Your Product or Service must not allow Your users to obtain KEGG FTP Data, except in small quantities
  • Should You decide to offer your Product or Service commercially, You agree to obtain a commercial license from Pathway retroactively from the time You began developing your Product or Service.
